The Attempted Assassination of Rex
A sniper shoots and wounds both Marc and Rex, who is seriously injured. He is trying to get revenge on Rex because Rex had found the evidence which had sent him to prison. Marc is frustrated though because he isn't able to do much as Rex is only a dog and society doesn't believe he is worth as much as a human life.

Why Must Children Suffer
A young boy is discovered dead in a garbage bag. Nikolai, one of the boys is seen trying to pass a fake 50 EURO note as real. As Marc and Niki investigate they find that boys are being held against their will and beaten if they refuse to participate in the scam. Nikolai is befriended by a girl named Iris and they are both kidnapped back by Nikolai's captives.

Ettrich's Pigeons
A pigeon handler is found dead in his home, Marc and Niki find that his best pigeons have been disappearing. They find that the pigeons may be being used for more than just returning home.

Vitamins for Dying
A woman takes a vitamin pill before heading to work, only she dies before she can get there. During the autopsy Dr. Graf determines she died of a heart attack. Marc questions the firm who makes the drug but they deny any money demands, but Marc and Niki think they are hiding something.

A Night at the Hospital
A patient disappears at night at a hospital without leaving a trace. An investigation is started by the Director of the hospital after the body of a patient turns up dead. DNA evidence is used to find the murder.

The Danube Crocodile
A series of death along with Danube lead Marc to think a crocodile is responsible, but is it really? During an autopsy Dr. Graf confirms that the latest victim did indeed drown. Still puzzled, Rex's finds some new evidence, which turns the case around.

Murder in Prison
Niki receives a letter from a woman, Elvira Strasser, who says she was convicted for a crime she didn't commit. Not long afterwards, Niki discovers that the woman has apparently committed suicide even though she only has six months left of her sentence. Against Marc and Kunz's wishes, Niki goes undercover in the prison to find the truth, but finds herself in danger.

Nina at Midnight
Nina, a well-known radio presenter, is driving home one night when she hits and kills a pedestrian. She tells the police it was an accident, but Dr Graf discovers in the autopsy there is more to what happened then what Nina says.

Snapshot
Katja and Matthais, best friends, are at a building site taking photographs. A body is later discovered at the site and Marc meets an elderly woman who lives in the unfinished building.
