Barış's escape from the scene makes the story Güney has concocted about the shooting more believable. Simay also corroborates his version of the events. Güney milks his situation to continue wounding Kuzey's conscience. When he sees the rings on Kuzey and Cemre's fingers he pours out his bitter words about how they are enjoying themselves while he is grappling with life and death because of their deeds.
Kuzey realizes Simay is living with Güney. Simay supports Güney in every way including judgment of Kuzey as an ingrate. Bariş on the other hand goes to the police with his version of the story and manages to remain out on bail pending the court hearing. Kuzey believes his brother's version of the story while Bariş thinks Kuzey is also in on the trap being set for him.
Commissioner Şeref's suspicions about Güney continue. Güney is aware that Şeref has him under surveillance. Sami inadvertently informs Güney of the contents of Deniz's letter which Güney immediately recognizes and manages to remove all the evidence against himself before Şeref gets his hands on it.
Cemre realizes how Kuzey is once more being weighed down by the weight his bother has been laying on his conscience. She tells him she wants to lighten that weight a little by returning the ring. Kuzey stops her and tells her he will not go back on his decision so they go ahead with their wedding preparations.
