1375, in a region of the Kingdom of France is plunged into the heart of a war that will last a hundred years, where the Black Death has already decimated more than a third of the population, precariousness, and looting is daily, chronic epidemics . In these times of desolation, most of the population is afraid and hungry. However, there is a place of help and comfort embodied by a simple fortified farm, the only refuge for a population trying to escape the difficulties of the time. This fortified farm is the Commanderie d'Assier, lordship of the Hospitallers of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem.
