La Novia Gitana - Season 1

A boy locked in a tool shed defends himself against a dog that bites his ankle until he manages to kill it with a hoe. The body of a young woman dressed as a bride appears in an abandoned swimming pool and Zarate, a young inspector, notices that the victim has worms sticking out of some incisions on his head. Two agents from the BAC, the criminal analysis brigade, burst into the inspection and the inspector does not take center stage.

The child remains locked up and cries, unable to get out of there. His ankle wound worsens and the dog lies dead next to him. The camera in Inspector Blanco's house continues photographing the main square. The BAC interrogates Cintia, who reported the disappearance of her friend, but he refers them to her fiancé with whom she used drugs. Chesca and Orduño, BAC agents, discover that someone paid the beggars who frequented the area to disappear, but they are unable to find out anything else, despite the pressure that Chesca exerts on El Tuerto, the boss among the homeless. Moisés, the father, wants to bury his daughter and find out who his boyfriend was, but the investigation delays him. Her wife, Sonia, misses among her daughter's things a chain with a cross that she always wore. Zarate informs the commissioner about the hearing that has been carried out on Salvador and he reminds him why he is on the case.

The locked-up child looks for something to eat and finds a can of peaches in syrup, but cuts himself trying to open it. Blood, syrup and tears mix on his face. While the Macayas celebrate the funeral of his daughter, Chesca and Orduño, BAC agents, follow Raúl and although he tries to escape, they manage to stop him. Checking her home, the coroner recognizes the bed from which Susana took photos of herself imitating her dead sister. Sonia, the mother of the deceased, reproaches her husband for El Capi being at her funeral; She doesn't want him around. Raúl does not collaborate in the interrogation although he ends up admitting that he followed his fiancée that night to make sure that she was not cheating on him. Elena and Zárate decide to visit Cintia again, but she is there, she has cut her wrists and is bleeding to death in the bathtub. They manage to revive her. They discover some photos of Susana and her having sex and with the word sluts written on them.

The locked-up boy discovers maggots in the dead dog, but also in the wound on his ankle, and fascinated by seeing them, he begins to eat them. Chesca and Orduño look for clues about the attack on Miguel in prison, but they only discover that the 9 stab wounds came from the gypsy module. Elena focused on monitoring Lusson, does not answer the calls from her team. Commissioner Rentero warns Zarate of the danger that reopening the Lara case could pose and the furious police officer makes the mistake of visiting the prisoner in the hospital, without the appropriate permission. Masegosa, the new lawyer, prevents the inspector from questioning him because of her nosy partner. Elena tracks down Lusson, determined to look for her son under the stones. Sonia reproaches her husband for not telling her about the detective and Moisés leaves in a bad mood to work on an assignment for her cousin El Capi.

DNA tests confirm the BAC's suspicions. Moses is wanted and captured, while he deals with the demons within him. Elena speaks with Jáuregui, Vista's defense lawyer, who distrusts the evidence that incriminated her client. Analyzing the evidence from the Lara Macaya case from years ago, Buendía sees some inconsistencies that indicate that everything could have been a setup orchestrated by Salvador Santos. Zárate's attitude leaves doubts about his interests, and he is removed from the case.

The interrogation of Salvador Santos demonstrates police malpractice in Lara's case. Elena confronts Rentero which has serious consequences. Zárate investigates Jáuregui, Vistas' lawyer, about inconsistencies in his strategy during the trial. A search in Vistas' cell reveals a strange correspondence related to the ritual practiced in the sisters' murders. Chesca and Orduño follow the clues and they lead them to a dangerous clandestine event.

The interrogation of Jáuregui clears up many unknowns about the cases of Lara and Susana, but Buendía, the coroner, reveals differences between both murders that cast doubt on the BAC. Elena finally seems ready to turn the page on the disappearance of her son, she puts all her energy into closing the case and discovers revealing hidden connections between Jauregui and Vistas, who is finally released.

Jáuregui reveals the truth about Susana's murder. Vista's past explains his obsessions and his next moves. The BAC begins a frantic search to prevent new crimes. Chesca and Orduño discover a closet with hard drives full of torture videos, including one that especially impacts Elena. A violent outcome seems to put an end to the case, but Elena receives a shocking message. A new investigation looms on the horizon: The Purple Network.
