Episodio 1
1941, Rome. Ida is a teacher who hides her Jewish origins and lives with her son Nino. Following a rape suffered by a German soldier, she becomes pregnant with a child: Useppe.

Episodio 2
Returning home, Nino establishes a very strong bond with Useppe but, despite this, he leaves the family and enlists as a volunteer. But the war will shock everyone with death and destruction.

Episodio 3
Ida and Useppe evacuate to Pietralata where they meet Cucchiarelli and the Mille family. Nino joined the partisan fight and, once he found his family, he involved Cucchiarelli.

Episodio 4
Nino takes Useppe to the partisan base: here he meets Mariulì, his girlfriend. The situation in Pietralata is tense: the Germans are increasingly ferocious against the Italians considered traitors.

Episodio 5
The Nazi occupation starves the city and Ida wanders around Rome looking for food for Useppe. The Germans finally escape, everyone returns from the front, but Ida's suffering is not over.

Episodio 6
Nino returns from the war, once again transformed, while Ida starts school again. The family rents a house in Testaccio hoping that life will be as happy as it once was.

Episodio 7
Useppe is ill, he inherited epilepsy from his mother and his illness is not compatible with the child's character. A new tragedy strikes the family: Nino is involved in an accident.

Episodio 8
Useppe runs away with Bella and meets old and new friends. However, his illness is pressing and the child seems to have an indelible pain inside him caused by the war and the losses.

Murder Most Puzzling

In Flight
Jo Conran is a single mum working as a flight attendant. Her son is serving a fifteen-year sentence in a Bulgarian prison for a murder he swears he did not commit. Jo is approached by a gang who know all about her son and is blackmailed into using her job to smuggle drugs. She soon finds herself pulled into a murky underworld of corrupt cops and hired killers, forced to carry out their orders with no escape in sight. However, no matter how far Jo finds herself from her old life, her mission remains the same, to keep her son alive.

Irish Blood
Irish Blood focuses on Fiona, whose path in life is earmarked by her father, Declan, who seemingly abandoned her and her mother on her tenth birthday. After years of channelling anger toward him, to the benefit of her litigious clients, a message from her father sends her to Ireland. There she learns key truths about her father as well as a family that doesn't know she exists, and, moreover, that the story of abandonment that has shaped her entire life - was a lie. A lie intended to protect her and her mother from her father's shady business dealings. Fiona resolves to uncover the full truth about her father and reconnect with the parent she only thought she knew.
