In the Paris of the 80's, a group of young idealists, sensing an ecological catastrophe to come, want to show that another world is possible. Guided by a mysterious Amerindian shaman, they practice veganism, set up organic stores and live in teepees in the middle of buildings. Quickly accused by their families and the press of being manipulated, they start a long ecological march through Europe. A chase begins between the members of this community and those who accuse them of being under their control. After 10 years of wandering, the "Tribe" finally settles in Finland, in the extreme conditions of the Great North, to live its Utopia of a tribal life in harmony with nature: how far are they willing to save "Gaïaland"? Thanks to unique archives and rare testimonies of former followers, the "Gaïaland" series dives into the fascinating true story of this community and its demons.

Guided by a mysterious Amerindian shaman, they practise veganism, set up organic shops and live in tipis. After 10 years of wandering Europe, the group finally settles in Finland, in the extreme conditions of the Far North, to live a utopian life in harmony with nature. But will Gaialand be a success?

Confrontation
After experimenting with an alternative lifestyle in Paris, the "Tribe" embarks on a crazy project: a march around the planet to reconnect with nomadic life and raise awareness about the climate crisis. But very quickly, the group members are accused by their families and the press of being manipulated. Holed up in Belgium, their "guide," Norman William, tries by all means to finance their activities, and police investigate him. It turns out he's a man of many faces.

Mirage
After a challenging odyssey, the "tribe" eventually settles in the far north of Finland, where they aim to fulfil their eco-dream under extreme conditions. However, dark clouds have gathered over Utopia, and manipulation by the guru pushes the tribe to their physical and moral limits. How far will they go to save "Gaialand"?

Réalité
As the Tribe faces its second polar winter, French families track them down. Finnish authorities turn against them after several tragedies and revelations about Norman William. The so-called autonomous people of "Iriadamant" are threatened with expulsion from Finland. Attacked from all sides, without resources, and rocked by the duplicity of Norman William, the Tribe begins to fray.
