The Mærradalsbekken, which flows through densely populated areas from Røa to Bestumkilen in western Oslo, was until 20 years ago a fishless, stinking sewer that you would rather avoid being near. Now the reality is different. The waterway is the smallest of the ten waterways that flow through the city and out into the Inner Oslofjord. In the first episode of Lars and Lars's exploration of fish in Oslo's streams, the experienced fishermen are shocked when a kilo trout gobbles up the ground in an absurd place.

One of the world's largest mayflies is hatching in large numbers in Eastern Norway these days, allowing even the largest trout to surface.

Salmon fishing rarely pays off, and Lars and Cato were unlikely to succeed during their day of fishing in the Drammenselva River. After 14 hours without a bite, Lars threw in the towel and handed a camera to Cato. 15 minutes later his rod was in the air. The big salmon was hooked.

In recent weeks, the Oslo Fjord has been teeming with great mackerel. Lars and Lars have swapped trout, wood and flies for bait, lures and line fishing from the piers in central Oslo.

Lars and Lars are going to check for fish in one of the Oslo creeks that was opened up in 2015, after decades of cleaning underground. They invite city councilor Raymond Johansen along.

Lars and Lars have visited the Aurlandselva and the Neteland brothers. The former sea trout paradise may not be as good as it once was, but for some fishermen!

Lars and Lars continue their journey of discovery for trout in the capital. This time they head to the Alna, which flows through the entire Groruddalen and is Oslo's longest and most polluted river.

Lars and Lars are hunting for sea bass around the islands at the innermost part of the Oslo Fjord. The exotic species has established itself along the Norwegian coast over the past decade. Outside the harbor basin in the capital, it swims close to shore until well into October.

Lars and Lars try their luck fishing in the Oslo harbor basin on their own. Will they succeed? Of course!

Schools of mackerel sturgeon are back off the Norwegian coast after several decades of absence. Only a small group of anglers were allowed to join this autumn's experimental fishing off Møre og Romsdal. One of them was the big fish king Cato Bekkevold. Nilssen behind and Bekkevold in front of the camera have proven to be the very recipe for fish-free fishing. Is Cato alone with the camera, however... A group of unique big fish footage has been put together for this year's penultimate Lars og Lars episode.

The salmon are back in the Akerselva, and Lars and Lars are ending this year's season with salmon hunting in central Oslo.
