A game-changing twist sends one competitor home at the end of the competition. Reigning Last Cake Standing champion, Mary Maher, serves as guest judge.

The seven remaining competitors take a field trip to the Bluebird Theater where they embark upon an exciting but complicated challenge: create a top-notch cake for a talent show in only eight hours. The competitors must quickly purchase the materials they need to make their cakes dance and sing before transporting the cakes to the theater. If their cakes survive commute, the competitors will each have a moment to perform with their cakes in front of an audience. The audience and judges, including Broadway actress Kate Shindle, determine whose cake is best.

While the judges determine which cake designer should be sent home, the remaining five competitors learn they'll be heading to Las Vegas for the final three competitions.
