Toronto

Jordan Andino is exploring the culinary delights of Toronto, Canada's most diverse city. He kicks off his tour at French-style bistro Chantecler, where Chef Colin Rayner blows Jordan's mind with a sophisticated take on fried chicken and an elegant yet simple take on a cheeseburger with pickles, their Royale with Cheese. For his second stop, Jordan looks for something sweet and finds Petit Potato's signature dish, Golden Toast. Syrup-drenched toast, green tea ice cream, matcha and red bean flavors make this dessert an outright hit. He also tries owner Fiona Cheung's take on a waffle with ice cream, only hers is flavored with purple yam. Jordan wraps up his tour at Nightowl Toronto, a retro restaurant dishing up classic comfort foods like mac and cheese with crunchy bacon, fish tacos and a boozy root beer float for dessert.
