Care
When the evacuation of a central London hospital leads to the discovery of a tragic death, DS Ronnie Brooks and DS Matt Devlin investigate. The trail leads them to Kings Cross, where the redevelopment and gentrification of the area is affecting a number of local residents. But has this led someone to commit murder? As DI Natalie Chandler pressures Matt and Ronnie to untangle the case, a disturbing pattern begins to emerge.

Unloved
A 13-year-old boy is found kicked to death at Euston Station. DS Brooks and DS Devlin discover that the boy's mother is a reformed drug-addict whose boyfriend is suspected of physically abusing her son, and are concerned about events at the boy's foster home. When the case comes to trial, the accused is represented by James Steel's ex-girlfriend, who advances the novel line of defence that the accused was genetically predisposed towards murder.

Vice
An ex-vice officer is found beaten to death in a Paddington underpass. Investigating, DS Brooks and DS Devlin uncover some uncomfortable truths about the victim's private life. In court, Crown Prosecutors James Steel and Alesha Phillips face an old sparring partner of their boss, whose client claims to have acted in self-defence.

Unsafe
When a metal-detecting pensioner unearths a shallow grave by the side of the Thames, DS Ronnie Brooks and DS Matt Devlin are forced to reopen a contentious murder case. Their investigations into the case of Luke Slade threaten to unravel a conviction made by James Steel eight years ago, with questions over the handling of the prosecution, James' career is on the line.

Buried
When the remains of an eight-year-old boy are uncovered, twenty-five years after he was reported missing, DS Brooks and DS Devlin re-interview the man arrested during the original enquiry. The boy's childhood friend reluctantly agrees to undergo EMDR therapy and appears to recall the events of the night that Tommy disappeared, but George Castle is sceptical about the value of her recovered memories.

Paradise
DS Brooks and DS Devlin investigate an arson attack on a Turkish social club, which leaves seventeen undocumented immigrants dead. A complex investigation leads to the arsonist, but when James and Alesha discover new evidence, they begin to look closer at one of the most prominent and respected businessmen of London's Turkish community.

Alesha
When Alesha Phillips' gynecologist touches her inappropriately during a medical examination, she purses justice with both the police and CPS. However, when no additional evidence surfaces, Alesha takes drastic action to secure a case against the doctor.

Wild Cards
Wild Cards follows the unlikely duo of a gruff, sardonic cop and a spirited, clever con woman. Ellis, a demoted detective, has unfortunately spent the last year on the maritime unit, while Max has been living a transient life elaborately scamming everyone she meets. But when Max gets arrested and ends up helping Ellis solve a local crime, the two are offered the opportunity to redeem themselves, with Ellis going back to detective and Max staying out of jail. The catch? They have to work together, with each using their unique skills to solve crimes. For Ellis, that means hard-boiled shoe leather police work; for Max, it means accents, schemes and generally befriending everyone in sight, while driving Ellis absolutely nuts. Against the backdrop of beautiful Vancouver — with all its unique, charming, and even contradictory neighbourhoods and subcultures — the two will have to learn what it means to trust another person and maybe actually become partners.
