Le roi qui vient du sud retraces step by step the tragic destiny of Henri IV, who was before becoming monarch of France, Henri II of Navarre, from his marriage to his cousin Marguerite de Valois called Margot, followed by a series of events, the massacre of Saint-Barthélemy, the war of religion, the plots against the monarchy, the difficulty of succession to the crown, his female conquests and until that fateful day on May 14, 1610, assassinated in Paris by Ravaillac.
