Горидзе, знакомый с Гангреной еще по лагерю, приходит к нему с предложением ограбить богатого «цеховика», который планирует вскоре доставить большую партию опия на склад в Петрово. Гангрена соглашается, но приказывает своим людям проследить за Горидзе. Повторно проникнув в бордель, Грунин и Горидзе с помощью Стариковой усыпляют бдительность охранника Алексея, подсыпав ему снотворного.
