Premiers congés payés
Nice, August 1936: the first paid vacations and four women whose destinies intertwine in a city where jubilant workers and disdainful bourgeois clash. Eugénie, a unionized factory worker with a troubled past, tries to protect her son Louis from the shadows of his history, while Léonie, a young police auxiliary newly arrived at Commissioner Raven's side, is actually fighting to save her father, who has been sentenced to death. Blanche, a socialite wife, hides a forbidden affair with the formidable prosecutor Adrien Jacquart, and Giulia, the discreet housekeeper at the Riviera Palace Hotel, struggles to protect her daughter from a dark secret. A bloody murder in the luxury hotel, family lies, and an explosive passion: who killed? Who is lying? And how far will they go to protect their loved ones?

Le meurtre du procureur
The murder of prosecutor Adrien Jacquart at the Riviera hotel exposes the explosive secrets of the Pontavice-Caron family: Blanche, his married lover, is arrested; Eugénie, his ex-fiancée, has a son who could be Adrien's; and Giulia, the housekeeper, is hiding a compromising debt. Commissioner Raven leads the investigation, aided by Léonie, who remains determined to prove her father's innocence. But Raoul Delaunay, a shady businessman, seems to be manipulating events behind the scenes. A final twist, however, turns everything upside down and reignites the mystery: who is Jacquart's murderer?

Une soirée de gala cauchemardesque
Édouard Ackerman turns himself in to the police for the murder of Prosecutor Jacquart, but everyone doubts his guilt, especially his daughter Angèle. At the Riviera, tensions rise: Giulia lies under Delaunay's threat, and Léonie discovers that Édouard has a solid alibi because he was helping Jews flee Europe, threatened by the rise of Nazism. It is in this context that the Riviera's gala evening turns into a nightmare: Jean lashes out at Delaunay in front of everyone, Blanche stumbles upon documents proving that her great love, Adrien, was a notorious anti-Semite… And Edgar, the hotel manager, is found dead in his office…

Mensonges et trahisons
The murder of Edgar Girault plunges the Riviera even further into chaos. Giulia, suspected by Raven, is narrowly saved by Joseph Neuville, the charming son of the newly arrived hotel owner. But Raoul Delaunay continues to blackmail her to obtain a compromising notebook. Meanwhile, Marthe Pontavice-Caron testifies against her working-class son-in-law. She believes Jean Berthier had a motive: he had just learned that Louis was not his biological son. Blanche is released. But tensions rise at the town dance, where Eugénie sees her husband taken away by the police. For Léonie, the evening turns into a nightmare.

Le prix du silence
Léonie, devastated by Félix's murder, accuses Raoul Delaunay. Giulia lies to the police to protect him because he is still threatening her daughter, Suzanne. The investigation into Prosecutor Jacquart's murder takes a new turn when Commissioner Raven discovers that Giulia owed him a large sum of money, and Léonie realizes who wrote the threatening letters Jacquart had received. Eugénie and Jean's marriage is shaken by the revelations about their son. Meanwhile, Blanche, impressed by her husband's commitments, tries to win him back by covering for him from the German police. Delaunay continues his evil deeds by exploiting evidence of Henri Pontavice-Caron's corruption to force him to collaborate with the Nazis.

Celles qui savent
Léonie, Eugénie, Blanche, and Giulia will join forces to bring down the man they know is responsible for Félix's murder, and perhaps the others'... Delaunay. Will they succeed? And isn't the truth about the murders of Jacquart and Edgar Girault somewhere else? In any case, the summer of '36 was a scorcher.
