Saga about the Doroshins family. The action takes place in the war and post-war time. The characteristic features of the Doroshins family are hard work, courage and integrity. Pavel Nikolaevich - war veteran, chief designer of the plant, Anastasiya Mikhaylovna - head of Department of the University, an active participant in the partisan movement. Their eldest son, Ilya, a sanitary doctor, demands the liquidation of one of the enterprises in the city center. But war criminals, hiding from retaliation, know that the Gestapo archives are hidden in the basement of the building, and are afraid that documents may be discovered.
