At night, a strange couple is killed on an empty suburban highway – she, Evgenia Tikhomirova, a blogger from Moscow known for scandalous revelations. He is Roman Perelovich, a simple ecologist, an employee of Krasnodar University. The main character of the series, the head of the criminal investigation department of Sochi, police Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Sotnikov, nicknamed "Reckless", has to find out who killed these people and why. He will be assisted in this by his loyal friend, Ivan Kubatko, the senior officer of the UGRA, and Oksana Grigorieva, a young investigative officer, as well as other colleagues in the Department, commanded by Police Colonel Vazgen Sargisovich Karapetyan, a cautious and diplomatic chief. But it's not easy for a Reckless Driver to fully focus on finding criminals. There are a number of attacks on visitors' cars in the city. People left without documents cannot leave Sochi, and Sotnikov is directing all his efforts to search for intruders.
