The Chit Behind King Billy
The Moss family needs to get their pianola out of hock in time for the street party, so headstrong young Ruby must go out and earn money. But her new job as a corsetiere, together with competing for a place in the Olympic swimming team, is taking its toll. Brother Billy is the only one who can help but he is suffering his own nightmare due to his traumatic war experiences. The day of Ruby's swimming race arrives and Billy's fear of water reaches crisis point.

The Thunderbolt
Iris's dreams of a life beyond her family appear to be answered when an enigmatic suitor arrives at the door. But both Dadda and Ruby seem determined to stand in her way, forcing the rest of the family to rally round.

The White Charger
May poses for some photographs, tempted by the offer of a film acting career, but things get out of hand. Mr Brazendale rushes to her rescue and the scene is set for an affair. Dadda fears the 12th July Orange parade will be a shambles without a horse for their very own 'King Billy' to ride.

The Tallyman
Iris and Father Melia are thrown together as a scarlet fever epidemic threatens the street. The risk of families being torn apart forces Dadda to devise an ingenious plan. Mr Brazendale tries to woo May back with grand offerings.

The Sea
A wartime friend of Billy's comes to visit and Billy has to confront his true emotions. Will going out with local party girl Queenie help him forget his feelings?

The Release
Ruby falls in with a group of upper class modern thinkers. When May becomes dangerously ill, however, Ruby is forced to make a choice between her friends and family.

The Serpent
The arrival of an exotic snake leads to a crisis within the house when Dadda starts a relationship with a local schoolmistress and his daughters accuse him of betraying their mother's memory.

The Reckoning
May's baby is due, but will she survive the birth without Dadda? And if she does, will she have the courage to keep the baby or choose to give it up for adoption?

Amandaland
Following three series of the Merman-produced, BAFTA award-winning series Motherland, a brand-new spin-off, Amandaland, is coming to the BBC, focused on Amanda.
Post her divorce, Amanda has had to downsize and up sticks to South Harlesden, or as the Estate Agent calls it SoHa (definitely not the area around Wormwood Scrubs prison).
With both Manus and Georgie now at secondary school, Amanda has to try and get her head around raising teenagers, dealing with modern motherhood horrors like teenage drinking, fake Instagram accounts and eco anxiety. Not even a woman as certain of her parenting as Amanda can deal with these nightmares alone.
Then there's Amanda's mother Felicity who is constantly around, and completely in denial that she is, in fact, lonely. Theirs is a slightly unhealthy co-dependent relationship based on backhanded compliments and veiled snipes about her new home.
After a brief spell of freedom, Anne is sucked back into being Amanda's minion to help her navigate the social scene with the other parents at the children's new school. Thank God for Anne.

The Pitt
The Pitt is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today's America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Each episode follows an hour of Dr. Robby's 15-hour shift as the chief attendant in Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital's emergency room.
