As the series opens, Detective Inspector Bradford returns to work - following the unsolved disappearance of his wife - much to the frustration of Detective Sergeant Cole, who has been running the murder team in his absence. The team tackles a new riveting murder case in each episode.

DC Rob Brady and Trainee DC Billie Fitzgerald respond to a gruesome scene: a man found stabbed multiple times and left hanging from a tree. DS Vivienne Cole expects to lead the investigation but is shocked when DI David Bradford takes over, as he has been on leave since the disappearance of his wife.
Stag Night
A groom is killed at his bachelor party, and the man who reports the crime is the ex-husband of the bride. The detectives race to find the missing 18-year-old best man, who may have been the killer or another victim.
Blood Lines
A man is found murdered on his houseboat, but the woman who alerted police has fled the scene. When Vivienne and Billie question the victim's widow, they discover he was having an affair with his best friend's wife.
Sex Games
When the body of a woman turns up by the river, the detectives track a suspect through a dating site, only to find he may have shot himself. While Rob and Vivienne disagree about whether it was a murder-suicide, Billie worries about Amber, a witness in another case.
Connected
With Billie stabbed and her attacker on the loose, Vivienne blames herself for not recognizing that Billie was in danger. As the team scrambles to track down Amber, they discover that there's more to her than meets the eye.

Wild Cards
Wild Cards follows the unlikely duo of a gruff, sardonic cop and a spirited, clever con woman. Ellis, a demoted detective, has unfortunately spent the last year on the maritime unit, while Max has been living a transient life elaborately scamming everyone she meets. But when Max gets arrested and ends up helping Ellis solve a local crime, the two are offered the opportunity to redeem themselves, with Ellis going back to detective and Max staying out of jail. The catch? They have to work together, with each using their unique skills to solve crimes. For Ellis, that means hard-boiled shoe leather police work; for Max, it means accents, schemes and generally befriending everyone in sight, while driving Ellis absolutely nuts. Against the backdrop of beautiful Vancouver — with all its unique, charming, and even contradictory neighbourhoods and subcultures — the two will have to learn what it means to trust another person and maybe actually become partners.
Wheel of Fortune
Contestants guess hidden phrases by guessing letters one at a time. Contestants win money or prizes, as determined by a spin of the wheel, for each correct consonant they guess. But they have to pay to see what vowels are in a puzzle. The contestant that has amassed the most winnings at the end of a game goes on to play the bonus round, in which the player can win even more -- prizes frequently seen in the bonus round include automobiles, vacations and more cash.
Emmerdale
