When Nicole's career starts to take off (sort of), her friendship with Veronica is tested (kind of).

When Nicole's childhood BFF visits LA, a fun night out turns into a rough morning (sort of) and Nicole comes to the rescue (kind of).

Nicole runs into Derrick, her old friend with benefits, and against her better judgement invites him on a quest to find the best soul food in LA to honor her dead mother's birthday. They end up having an adventure that brings them closer together until Derrick suddenly "bails" and disappoints Nicole. Devin attends an Instagram workshop to increase his social media presence but gets hit with the revelation that it's an empty, vacuous place and ends up finding his bestie and realizing true friendship is the ultimate in life.

Nicole tries a rideshare app and meets her true soulmate (sort of), but when her green-card husband Hassan returns for their immigration interview things get complicated (kind of).

On girls' night out, Nicole takes cyberstalking to the next level (sort of) and Devin tries to push Nicole's new love along (kind of).

Nicole competes for a promotion and a raise at FatGirlzzz, the store she works at. Inspired by Josh's career drive and side hustle, Nicole decides to step it up at FatGirlzzz and go for the newly open Key Holder position. Hilarity ensues when she has to compete with her work friend Marcy.

When Nicole and Josh take their relationship to the next level (sort of), things don't quite go as planned (kind of).

Nicole books her first starring role (kind of) and saves the day (kind of).

When Nicole goes to a wedding with Josh, she runs into a man from her past (sort of) and Devin runs into another man from her past (kind of).

Nicole has it all: a boyfriend who loves her and a new TV series. True to her life, she realizes having it all isn't as easy as it seems when she finds out she has to go to Canada for work, only to return to make some huge decisions.
