Los Farad - Season 1

Oskar looks for his place in Madrid in the 1980's. Orphaned and hardened by the difficult environment in which he grew up, at 27 only one thing is clear to him: he has to get ahead no matter what. So the day he crosses paths with the mysterious and rich Sara Farad, he leaps at his chance to peer into the luxurious and exciting life that could await him with her and her family...

Oskar moves in with the Farad family in Marbella. In less than a week he's gone from barely paying the rent for his apartment in Aluche to living with Sara in the family's luxurious mansion, from riding across the city on his motorcycle to sailing on a yacht across the Costa del Sol. But not everything will be so easy: to be a Farad, you have to prove yourself.

With the opening of his brand new gym in Marbella, Oskar seems to have achieved all his dreams in record time. But Leo Farad has seen in him more than just a good son-in-law, and decides to take him on a peculiar hunt to close an important business deal. Meanwhile, one of Leo's daughters makes a discovery that will force the Farad siblings to review their position in the family.

After marrying Sara, Oskar can say it now: he is officially a Farad. And that means many things: loyalty, total trust... And also dealing with little family issues. Trying to help Leo get his son Hugo back on track, Oskar goes with his problematic brother-in-law on a high-seas operation: they have to take an important secret weapons shipment to safe harbor.

Leo Farad is capable of negotiating anything except one thing: the safety of his family. When his daughter Tanya is assaulted by strangers, Leo's fury turns to his closest rival: Mawad. With a war between families about to break out, news arrives that adds to the tension: Khalid, a Palestinian associate of the Farads, has stormed a hotel in Monaco, taking dozens of hostages.

Leo wants Mawad's head, and he'll do anything to get it... even make a deal with the Americans. While Oskar and Sara welcome the birth of their first son, the rest of the family takes a plane to Czechoslovakia with the excuse of enrolling Tanya in a singing school. But Leo's true intentions are actually quite different...

The war has reached its climax in Angola. Oskar and Sara accompany Leo to the front lines to close a cannon sale. For the first time, Oskar has first-hand knowledge of what the arms business is all about. Meanwhile, in Marbella, Hugo is determined to show his family what he is capable of by putting an end to the conflict with Mawad once and for all.

Carmen decides that the time has come to make a deal with Mawad: she's unwilling to take any more losses in her family. But the deal can only be closed if blood is shed one more time. Oskar's defining moment has arrived and he'll have to face what it truly means to be a "Farad" with all its consequences.
