The Lord of the Lies
The first of four documentaries exploring stories of romance fraud, exposing the love, lies and jaw-dropping tactics of heartless manipulators and the fight to bring them to justice. Megan was swept off her feet by charming Lord Bertie Underwood, who arrived on the Isle of Wight and showered her with gifts and luxury trips away. Before long, the pair were engaged. However, her world started to fall apart when she found his wallet with numerous IDs under different names. Worse was to come when she discovered he had taken out numerous business loans in her name - and even her engagement ring proved to be fake.

Fireman Scam
When firefighter James messaged Coleen and asked her out on a date, she was impressed by his charming, generous nature and fun-loving sense of humour. She introduced him to her two daughters and her twin sister Karen and James soon becomes part of the family. And when he reveals that he's expecting a £2million inheritance from his relatives in France, he goes into business with Karen, while planning an extravagant wedding for Coleen. Despite James' claim that he's had a vasectomy, Coleen unexpectedly falls pregnant, and doubts begin to creep in about James' story. As the deceptions start to unravel, the police investigate James' story, ultimately achieving some justice for the family and closure for Coleen.

When she threatened to kill herself in Japan, unless friends raise $20,000 that she claimed had been stolen, people started to question the truth of her stories and the FBI became involved.

The Cancer Con
The series that explores extraordinary stories of romance fraud and exposes heartless manipulators' lies and jaw-dropping scams. Sean always wanted to be a dad. So meeting energetic single mum Rebecca with her little daughter Sarah was a double treat. But, after only a month together, Rebecca gives Sean the devastating news that she's got terminal cancer. Undeterred, Sean takes on the role of caring for Rebecca and Sarah and is overjoyed when he learns that Rebecca is pregnant with his child. But as the first doctor's appointment approaches, Rebecca tells Sean that she's had a miscarriage. Devastated by the news, Sean doubles down on supporting his terminally ill girlfriend and, to earn much-needed cash, he goes to work renovating the home of Rebecca's gay friend Steve. But what he discovers at that house unravels the many layers of deception that Rebecca has been weaving.
