After a year of looking and being outbid on eight different houses, Oliver and Melissa finally found a home. Although Melissa was out of town when Oliver decided to buy it, they moved in and thought it was the home for them. Little did they know they were very wrong. Melissa can't stand the problem after problem that this house presents, including a dangerous staircase, a smelly basement, and a tiny washroom. But what Melissa sees as problems with the house, Oliver sees as challenges yet to be solved. Enter competitors Hilary and David. Designer Hilary and her team will renovate the home in order to convince Melissa to stay, while realtor David will show Oliver they can find a better place to call home.
