When researcher Anette conducts a study investigating the link between Swedish women's sex lives and an uptick in nationwide sick leave, she and her lifelong friends begin to question their own relationships and desires.

After forgetting their anniversary, Anette's husband Andres borrows a box of chocolates from their daughter. Ellen deals with her opinionated boss, Martina's patience with her housemates wears thin, and Nadia meets to a new trainer.

Anette finds herself in an uncomfortable situation at work, Martina prepares for a gender-ending lecture, Ellen's encounter with an old flame brings up troubling memories, and Nadia distracts herself with Diesel.

The friends' weekly badminton game is derailed by distractions. Later, Anette and Andres seek couples therapy, Harald blames Martina for his latest misery, Ellen's career comes to a halt, and Nadia gets to know Diesel more intimately.

Anette's erotic dream has an impact on the group's dynamics. Martina and Harald rekindle their spark. Ellen reignites an old passion and Diesel proves his dedication to Nadia.
