The 76th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was held on November 28, 2002, in New York City and broadcast live on NBC that same day from 9 a.m. to noon EST. The telecast was hosted by Katie Couric, Matt Lauer, and Al Roker. The lineup featured 14 giant helium balloons, 28 floats and four toy floats, 10 novelty balloons, 500 clowns, 12 marching bands, 1,000 cheerleaders, scores of celebrities, and the one-and-only Santa Claus.
