Apprentice-style challenge in which 12 Brits who think they have what it takes to run the country are put through a series of tasks designed to test their leadership skills, decision-making, resilience and integrity. The challenges are set and adjudicated by Alastair Campbell and Baroness Sayeeda Warsi. Can they find someone with the ability to succeed in the cut-throat world of politics?

Episode 2
Alastair and Sayeeda challenge the candidates to tackle obesity - but Holly's proposed policy slogan definitely doesn't get the reaction she was hoping for. Caroline goes on a charm offensive with the attending press, and Labour MP Jess Phillips is sent to see how the candidates are getting on, only to witness Verity and Danny battling it out in novelty food costumes.

Former beauty queen Kelly and diversity consultant Rico step up to the leadership plate for the second time, while Danny hopes that drawing on his personal experience will give his team an advantage. However, their toughest challenge yet lies ahead, as two of Britain's leading broadcasters, Channel 4 News' Krishnan Guru-Murthy and LBC's Nick Ferrari, are waiting in the wings to grill the candidates.
