Murray for Mayor

Murray decides to run for mayor of Malibu to save a 500-year-old tree stump that's slated for removal for road construction. His opponent is Dennis Haskins, the actor who played Mr. Belding on ""Saved by the Bell."" When Scott and Jason hear that Murray's father has given him a $20,000 campaign contribution, they quickly volunteer to be his campaign managers. The boys aren't interested in the election, though; they're spending the money strictly to impress girls. Haskins finds out about their actions and threatens to expose them if Murray wins. Now Jason and Scott try to rig the election so that Haskins will win. When the results come in, Murray wins despite their efforts. He proposes a new road to go around the tree stump, then resigns as mayor. Haskins becomes the new mayor and the boys are forced to sell all the new goodies they bought with the campaign money, as well as some of their other possessions.
