Lonely and disappointed Tatiana Sergeevna Rakitina works at the registry office. Every day she sees happy newlyweds and... just gets annoyed. Tatiana herself has long since stopped enjoying her work and has become a routine. She sees the whole meaning of her life only in her son Dmitry. Tatiana takes great care of him, indicating what to do and who to date, completely forgetting that the "boy" has already grown up. One day Dmitry confronts his mother with the fact that he intends to get married. This news ruins Tatiana's whole world.

She declares a real war on potential daughter-in-law Dasha. In the end, the main character manages to break up the lovers. But this does not make Dmitry happy at all. Moreover, Tatiana's thoughtless actions lead to her son being hospitalized. Now Tatiana has to correct her mistakes and reconcile the "children" again. She successfully copes with this difficult task, and at the same time gets her own "little feminine happiness", which she no longer hoped for.
