A toy manufacturer hires Mannix to quietly find out who tried to kill him.

A young mobster hires Mannix to track his unfaithful wife. When someone guns down the mobster, his family figures that Mannix set him up.

A Walk in the Shadows
A man is accused of killing his wife when he tracked her down with the man he claims that she was having an affair with. But another PI who was working the case tells Mannix that the wife never had an affair.

Lifeline
Mannix tries to determine why Vince Logan, a singer and friend of Peggy's, fled the police when they tried to question him about a property damage claim and was subsequently shot trying to flee.

To Draw the Lightning
Lt. Larry Gifford hires Mannix to clear his name when he accidentally shoots and kills the man who killed Gifford's partner years before.

Scapegoat
Crooks hire an imposter to pose as Mannix, who ends up kidnapped while the imposter takes his place.

Death in the Fifth Gear
During a car race, Mannix crashes due to hallucinations. He's taken to a private hospital where his condition worsens... and a nurse tells him that the doctor is drugging him.
