Maria and Lampião go after their daughter in another city, where Dondon kept her safe from Silvério. Dondon heard on the radio that the government sent soldiers after them. Lampião does not want to die like a nobody. Durand introduces himself to Silvério and together they promise to put an end to the Cangaço. Maria and Lampião take the boat that will take them to their daughter, but with their faces plastered all over posters, they are easily recognized. Maria realizes that she will never be able to give her daughter the life she deserves. The couple gathers what remains of the gang to face Silvério and Durand's troops. Side by side, Maria and Lampião open fire on the soldiers and face their destiny head on.
