In season 3, Maria Kallio has completed her final exams and graduated from the Faculty of Law. Her life feels balanced and she is at last in a good place after her divorce. Maria heads up the homocide police department, with detectives Koivu and Beaktas on her team. They are investigating the murder of a Polish businessman, and who turns out to be the husband of a Finnish diplomat.
In the middle of the investigation, Maria and Beaktas are transferred to the National Bureau of Investigation to examine international organised crime. Maria quickly realises her mission is to find the mole in the police force who, has been leaking information, allegedly covering the tracks of a Polish criminal league in Finland.
While Maria is investigating other people's secrets, she must face a tough fact: she has more hidden secrets in her own past than anyone under her investigation.

The Polish police catch the leader of a criminal association who was being sought and Susanna interrogates her on suspicion of having murdered the Finn. The interrogation does not go well, as the leader of the criminal association takes the opportunity to bite Susanna.

Miro disappeared voluntarily. Visa's suspicions about Susanna's unreliability are confirmed.

Mysterious Hyrrä
Maria begins to suspect that the death of the Polish-Finnish businessman may be related to family matters rather than the cobalt business. Maria and Beaktas investigate the housekeeper's family and discover that the couple has a son that no one has heard from in many years. The housekeeper leaves a suicide note.

All Good Things Come To An End
Maria is in a hurry to unbury the last crucial piece of evidence in the investigation into the murder of the Polish-Finnish businessman, at a time when she herself is mired in a personal crisis.
