Marie Antoinette is just a teenager when forced to leave Austria to marry Louis, the Dauphin of France. She must deliver an heir in order to secure an alliance between the two nations, but she is unprepared for the royal family that awaits her.

Reines rivales
When Louis refuses to share his bed with her, Marie-Antoinette realizes that it will be more complicated than she imagined to bear the Bourbon heir. She turns to madame du Barry to get some help. But the favourite starts to perceive the Dauphine as a rival.

Le choix d'une princesse
The royal family spends some holidays in Fontainebleau. Marie-Antoinette learns about du Barry's plan, who looks for a fiancée for Provence. Will the second pretender to the throne of France be able to birth the Bourbon heir before Louis and Marie-Antoinette perform their duty?

Marie-Antoinette and Louis are about to make their first official visit in Paris. Everything changes when the King falls gravely ill: succession to the throne suddenly becomes a concrete reality. On her side, Du Barry knows she must protect herself from the future Queen of France, or be subject to see her days numbered in Versailles.

Against all expectations, it is Joseph, Marie-Antoinette's brother, who goes to Versailles to save the royal wedding. It doesn't take long for him to realize that he has his work cut out for him if he wants to unite this struggling couple. Time is running out to save the Franco-Austrian alliance.

L'Autrichienne
Marie-Antoinette is finally pregnant! But his reputation is attacked when pornographic pamphlets spread to the Court of Versailles, challenging the legitimacy of the unborn child. Louis locks the castle and demands a thorough investigation in order to unmask the plotting traitors.

Reine de coeur
Louis gains confidence in his role as King. He now supports the American Revolutionary War. Marie-Antoinette spent her time at the Petit Trianon where she fell in love with a familiar face: Count Axel von Fersen.
