In Chicago Illinois, ten singles make the riskiest decision they have ever made; to marry a complete and total stranger. Pre wedding jitters present themselves in different ways. From spilling too much tea to bawling their eyes out, one thing is clear; the risk is worth the reward of everlasting love. But for one nervous bride, the jitters may be too much to bear.

The wedding day continues in the Windy City where 8 more singles prepare to meet their spouses at the altar. As the pressure mounts and the moment of truth approaches, hopes and wishes are pondered as one bride puts her full trust in the Universe, and one groom holds a secret that could doom his marriage.

In the morning after the weddings, a myriad of concerns arise amidst the joy of newlywed life, including financial worries, age gaps, and the revelation of a spouse still living at home. During family brunches, unease deepens with a father's request for STI testing and another spouse's pursuit of perfection. But despite doubts about attraction and some hesitations, the journey begins as our couples embark on their honeymoons.

Our ten newlyweds enjoy their honeymoon in the beautiful Mexican Riviera, and begin to explore all aspects of the strangers they just married. As most couples bond over deep conversations and fun activities in paradise, one couple fights to find a connection. Could their marriage be over before they return to Chicago?

As their honeymoon comes to an end, four of the couples look to build on their blossoming marriages while one couple looks to try and put the pieces back together again. Then, back in Chicago, real life hits hard as they settle into their new lives as husband and wife.

The couples celebrate their one-month anniversary with whiskey tasting, picnics, and a tree-lined obstacle course. While one spouse avoids romantic feelings, another couple's love continues to flourish. Meanwhile, heated arguments and a shocking job resignation threaten the milestone event. 

After a nasty public argument, one couple makes a last-ditch effort to save their marriage. Meanwhile, our other four pairs delve into the struggles of their past and the aspirations of their shared futures. But with Decision Day looming in just 3 weeks, is there enough time left to solidify their bonds?

For some of the couples a trip down memory lane is in order in hopes of building emotional connections with their spouses. Visits to hometowns and words of wisdom to their past lives create special moments for them to truly see their spouse for who they are. But all is not merry as one couple appears to be on the cusp of destruction while a simple text causes another couple to start to unravel.

While one couple is caught between truths and lies, a heated argument pushes another couple to come clean about their feelings. Meanwhile, things start heating up for some of our couples, including the introduction of a lingerie-clad third party, which may be more than they bargained for. 

One wife's quest to find out the truth gets spurned by her husband, while another wife worries her husband's careless attitude isn't what she wants for her future. And while one husband worries that their different interests might be too much, another puts in the extra effort to help bridge that gap. And just as the couple's retreat gets underway, a surprise guest brings a shocking surprise of his own. 

In the Aftermath of Decision Day, one couple navigates their new shared life together, while our divorcees return to single life. And as some wrestle with betrayal and disappointment, others find solace in each other and one finds love where they least expected it. 

Tensions are high as the entire Chicago cast returns one year later to debate and discuss the most shocking and emotional moments from their season. Relationships are still raw as they revisit past issues and question if everyone is telling the truth about what really happened.
