La primera prueba de MasterChef es una Caja misteriosa muy especial. Los aspirantes reciben un mensaje de familiares y amigos que les ayudará a recordar una receta llena de sentiminetos. El reto de esta semana es crear un plato que transmita amor absoluto. El ganador de la prueba tendrá una gran recompensa pero también una dura decisión.Con los capitanes y los equipos formados toca viajar a una ciudad para seguir conociendo la riqueza gastronómica de España. El destino esta vez es Valencia, tierra de arroz y fallas, que serán protagonistas en la Prueba por Equipos. Los aspirantes recibirán la visita del maestro Quique Dacosta, que recientemente ha recibido su tercera estrella Michelin.Será él quien les de las instrucciones para elaborar los platos, una paella valenciana y un arroz de pescado, que servirán a grandes conocedores de este producto: presidentes y maestros de las fallas ganadoras en 2013. Ellos serán los responsables de decidir quién ganará la prueba.
