MOTD Live: UEFA Euro 2024 - Germany v Hungary

Gary Lineker presents coverage of the Group A match from Stuttgart Arena. Germany haven't won any of the last three meetings between the two, and the last fixture saw Hungary come out on top with a 1-0 victory in a UEFA Nations League match. These two also met in the group stage at the previous Euro finals in 2021, with the game ending in a thrilling 2-2 draw. Hungary took the lead twice in that meeting, but goals from Kai Havertz and Leon Goretzka saved the Germans and ended up knocking their opponents out of the competition. That result meant that Germany finished second in their group behind France, and set up a last-16 tie against England at Wembley Stadium, a game they would go on to lose 2-0. That run of results means the Germans haven't beaten Hungary in a competitive match since the remarkable 1954 World Cup final, when the Mighty Magyars saw their long unbeaten run come to an end on the biggest stage of all. With commentary by Steve Wilson and Martin Keown.
