Anke ist überglücklich, dass sie schwanger ist. Der Rest der Familie dagegen steht der neuen Situation eher mit gemischten Gefühlen gegenüber: Die Kinder sind entsetzt über die Vorstellung, ein 'schreiendes Monster' im Haus zu haben, und auch Vater Hendrik hat sich die nächsten Jahre ganz anders vorgestellt und sich auf die Zeit ohne Erziehungssorgen gefreut. Natürlich will niemand Anke verletzten, daher geben alle vor, über die Neuigkeiten begeistert zu sein. Die Einzige, die sich überschwänglich mit Anke auf das Baby freut ist Claudia. In der Schule bekommt Sabine zufällig mit, dass Alex und Claudia über Schwangerschaft reden und schließt daraus messerscharf, dass Alex ein Kind erwartet. Natürlich sorgt sie dafür, das dieses Gerücht bei den Mitschülern verbreitet wird. Die Krönung diseses Missverständnisses ist ein Auftritt von Niko im Café: Er macht der sprachlosen Alex - deren 'Kind' ja unbedingt einen Vater haben muss - ein überraschendes Angebot.
