Memory of Encaustic Tile (2022)
Inside the hutongs of Beijing, the children of the museum keepers live in the Forbidden City. They grew up, survived the SARS epidemic, the death of loved ones, the demolition of the old city, and struck up a deep friendship with each other. As they get older, everyone chooses different paths.
Shaoxue does not want to give up unlimited opportunities and leaves home in search of a bright future.
Zhang Su Nian follows in his mother's footsteps, becomes a restorer and finds meaning in preserving cultural heritage.
Zhang Qi gets the opportunity to study abroad thanks to his mathematical abilities. Before leaving, he decides to bury his feelings for Zhao Xue.
Despite their feelings for each other, Zhao Xue and Zhang Su Nian are at odds because of the differences in their fields of activity. After a long time, they meet again, allowing the seeds planted in youth to germinate again.
