The sisters' mother Mona unexpectedly returns to Sweden after many years abroad. Ellen struggles with how to relate to her. If she's once been able to abandon her, how will Ellen be sure it won't happen again? Meanwhile, Alex gets a new female boss who really appreciates him. Alva and Nico are trying to find a way forward, but will they manage to get past the lies they've had in front of each other?

Nico is in charge of Alva trying to start a family again. At the same time, he encounters a shadow from the past that sores of doubt. Alva gets a career message she's dreamed of, but when life feels too good to be true - is that maybe too? Ellen goes all in to be a perfect feminist in Mona's eyes and takes water over her head. Alex's relationship with his new boss Jane is becoming more friendly.

Alva pushes Nico further away from her and when she realizes what she has done, is it perhaps too late? At the same time, she meets someone who gives her a new way of looking at things. Alex gets to see new sides of Jane.

Ellen takes Mona on a hunt to show her true self. Alex's job situation spills over onto Ellen and she takes out her frustration on the wrong person. Alva takes time to get to know Ruben better.

Ellen explodes into teenage rebellion while trying to reach Jack. They are united by an unexpected shared experience. Alex is pushed to cross a line and seeks an outlet for his frustration.

Late one night, a true miracle happens that brings Ellen, Alva and Mona closer than they've ever been. At the same time, Nico is tested in his new nuclear family. Is he Harry's father, or Harry's bonus father?

Nico realizes what seven years means, so he and Angelica come to a crossroads. Alex tries to ease her heart and Ellen receives confusing information from Sahar. Alva makes a life-changing decision.

Alva and Nico cut the final umbilical cord between them, and Nico searches for answers about whether or not people can change. Mona is finally forced to choose which girls she wants to save.
