Michael Jackson: The Trial - Season 1

Season 1
Episodes

Saving the King of Pop
The first episode hears from Jackson's inner circle who tried to prevent the singer's downward spiral, which reached a dramatic point of no return in 2003 when he revealed in a TV documentary that he shared his bed with young boys.

Control the Narrative
After singer Michael Jackson admitted publicly that he had shared his bed with teenager Gavin Arvizo, his inner circle hatched a plan to produce a rebuttal documentary. However, the interview was engulfed in legal disputes and never saw the light of day - until now. Dramatic police footage reveals Arvizo telling detectives that Jackson forced him to drink alcohol and sexually abused him and, speaking for the first time, detectives disclose the disturbing evidence they found at Jackson's Neverland Ranch.

The Prosecution
The third part considers how Jackson's first court appearance was turned into a circus, with fans bussed in and the Nation of Islam were engaged as security advisers, while the singer himself posed to his adoring fans from the top of his SUV. But despite the theatrics, the public prosecutors remained resolute and were determined to get justice.

The Reckoning
As the trial comes to an end, the defence calls some devastatingly effective witnesses who testify that although they shared a bed with the singer, no sexual abuse took place. Mass hysteria breaks out when Michael Jackson is found not guilty on all counts, the singer never returned to Neverland.
