Their closeness upsets Zoe, who dumps Ewan after he misses a date because he's with Amy.Meanwhile, the poacher Tam Cooper returns to Glenbogle and is blaming the MacDonalds for his stint in jail and is out for revenge. He owns the land on which the fishing hut stands and demands an unreasonably high price for it, whilst disrupting lucrative fishing parties.Later, Amy's headmaster arrives explaining that Amy is a runaway and is only sixteen. Paul sends her away but, after learning how unhappy she is at school, lets her stay.

She is unimpressed and Paul is furious.Later, their pet panther Yuri escapes and Paul saves Catriona from certain death. Viktor is inspired by Paul's courage and changes his mind over buying the houseMeanwhile, when Iona dresses up as Lady of the Manor for the formal dinner, Paul realises he is falling in love with her .
