Sarah takes on a bicycle in need of some TLC, but will she succeed in turning trash into cash?

EJ Osborne is at Woking Recycling Centre on a mission to save three tip-bound items that he can restore, rejuvenate and sell on for a profit. To help him turn trash into cash, EJ enlists the help of upcycler Sarah Peterson to give an outdated telephone cabinet a radical revamp, while woodworkers Josh and Oli are tasked with turning a tired tool box into something special. EJ has a collection of gear box parts to get creative with, but will his upcycling escapades result in a profit for the items' unsuspecting owners?

In Witley, Sarah Moore is searching for three tip-bound items that she can turn into top money-makers. Upholsterer Simion Hawtin-Smith is on hand to tackle a pair of old car seats, while lighting guru Guy Trench is tasked with transforming a collection of glass laboratory tubes. For Sarah's own project, she has a box of knitting wool to work with, but can all her repurposing rustle up a profit to return to the items' original owners?

Episode 4
Jay Blades is at Altrincham Recycling Centre on a mission to save three unwanted items from the skip. To help convert his trash into cash, Jay turns to metal maestro Kev Paxton to revive a set of glass lampshades. Meanwhile, wallpapering wonder Emma Walker has a big job on her hands with an oak sideboard in need of an update. A pair of printers' trays give Jay some testing times, but will he succeed in turning all the items from old to sold?

Episode 5
Sarah Moore is on a mission to rescue unloved and unwanted items from Witley Recycling Centre. With three tip-finds to transform, Sarah turns to Neil Wragg to come up with a creative new use for an old kite surfing sail, while the Bristol Upholstery Collective is tasked with turning a forlorn futon into something fabulous. Sarah takes on the ambitious project of transforming a wine bottle into lighting, but will all her hard work be enough to turn these cast-offs into cash?

Restoration expert Jay Blades is at Altrincham Recycling Centre in Greater Manchester on the lookout for three tip-bound pieces to rescue and restore. Woodworker Norman Wilkinson is tasked with creating functional furniture from some wooden shelving, while upholsterer Simion Hawtin-Smith gets to work reimagining a tired leather sofa. Jay has an interesting challenge on his hands with an old filing cabinet, but will he succeed in finding new homes for his upcycled items?

With three hidden gems gathered, Sarah turns to bag buff Neil Wragg and top-class carpenter Norman Wilkinson to help make them shine again. An old aluminium trough gives Sarah an exciting new challenge, but will the transformations produce a profit to return to their unsuspecting owners?

Jay enlists two magnificent makers in his quest to spruce up his salvage. Blacksmith Bex Simon is on hand to reinvent an old swing while all-round upcycler Sarah Peterson has the tall order of transforming wooden joists into lighting. Jay takes on the task of revamping a tallboy cabinet, but will all three makeovers be a success?

The Ministry of Time
The Ministry of Time, a newly established government department, is gathering ‘expats' from across history in an experiment to test the viability of time-travel. Commander Graham Gore (an officer on Sir John Franklin's doomed 1845 Arctic expedition) is one such figure rescued from certain death – alongside an army captain from the fields of the Somme, a plague victim from the 1600s, a widow from revolutionary France, and a soldier from the seventeenth century.
The expats are placed with 21st century liaisons, known as 'bridges', in unlikely flatshares. Gore has to learn about contemporary life from scratch: from air travel to industrial warfare, from feminism to Spotify, from cinema to indoor plumbing; and he must negotiate cohabiting with the ambitious modern woman who works as his bridge. After an awkward beginning, the pair start to find pleasure and comfort in each other's company, developing a relationship that is simultaneously tender, intense and profoundly unprofessional; and the expats, adrift in a new era, form friendships that ground and support them in the lonely 21st century, where they have outlived everyone they ever knew and loved.
When a deeper conspiracy at the Ministry begins to reveal itself, the bridge must reckon with what she does next. Will she save or sacrifice the exiled misfits she has come to care for so deeply?
