LAI asks WING HO and TING out but she fails to show up. WING HO discovers that LAI has collapsed at the bridge. KUNG informs HUNG that LAI is in the hospital and HUNG decides not to tell CHO about this. KUNG calls HUNG again. He lies to HUNG that LAI has wakened up for a while and she has apologized to HO when she’s awake. HUNG is enraged and she further confirms that she will not tell CHO about LAI’s case. MUI wants to call HUNG but KUNG stops her. Their conversation is overheard by YUET. YUET tells HO about this and HO begs MUI to give her the telephone number of HUNG but KUNG stops her from doing so. LAI’s condition is getting worse at midnight. HO is frightened. She shouts to LAI desperately and encourages her to carry on. LAI finally survives the critical phase. SHUN invites SUM to Lamma Island again and they spends the whole evening talking to each other.
