Morderczynie - Season 1

Karolina is an ambitious community police officer. She's trying to locate her father, a legendary Warsaw police officer, who has been missing for a year. His disappearance negatively impacts Karolina's relationship with her mother Irena and her sister Ewa. During a seemingly trifling intervention, Karolina finds a murder victim in a booze-den. Her search for the suspect captures the attention of Michal, a go-getting crime unit officer, while the disappearance of her father takes an unexpected turn.

The autopsy confirms Karolina's worst suspicions. She and her sister try to inform their mother about the discovery, but are unable to locate her. Did she know much more than it seemed?

Irena is arrested. Her stay in prison is shocking and she encounters hostility from her fellow prisoners. Karolina, convinced of her mother's innocence, conducts a private investigation.

Irena manages to gain the respect of her cellmates. Karolina and Michał try to figure out the connections between the suspects and follow the trail of the victim's money. Karolina tries to decipher her father's notebook.

Irena's fellow prisoners plan to escape, but a tragedy ruins their plans. Karolina finds it hard to bear the truth about her father and is convinced that he could not have acted alone.

Karolina is tormented by guilt as Michał fights for his life in the hospital. She finds out that her sister knew much more about their parents' relationship. Karolina confronts the suspect in the case of her father.
