Kang-hee, the daughter of a motel owner, leaves the boring countryside after spending a night with her first love Yeon-soo. She meets Yeon-soo again after 10 years...

Kang-hee and Yeon-soo break up without being able to convey their true feelings to each other. As both of them feel regret, Kang-hee's birthday, which also falls on Christmas, is approaching.

Yeon-soo prepares for a perfect reunion with Kang-hee but Kang-hee wants to part ways from him. Then Kang-hee, who is only focused on work, suddenly gets an unexpected task.

Kang-hee confirms the woman who will marry Yeon-soo. She gets angry and drinks alone until she passes out. Then someone picks Kang-hee up and takes her to Motel California.

Kang-hee explodes with resentment towards Yeon-soo. Yeon-soo does his best to help Kang-hee, but their true feelings are increasingly diverging.
