Preparing the Way
Mr Pye arrives on Sark and gradually charms his landlady into becoming an ally. Together they plan a beach barbecue that is also to involve the cantankerous Miss George - in a totally unexpected way.

The beach barbecue is a disaster, Mr Pye sprouts a magnificent pair of embarrassing white wings, and, in his desperation, sets about doing bad, thus causing a dramatic and untimely death

The Perjured Soul
Mr Pye desperately wants to get rid of his wings, but the result of his efforts is a most bizarre and even more alarming manifestation.

Making for the Moonlight
The wings went but the horns came, and desperation has set in. Narrowly escaping a lynching by the infuriated islanders, Mr Pye makes his final escape.
