Temmora, the One Name Wonder
Temmora introduces her hectic life as she runs "Arommet Academy," a music boot camp for talented children as well as managing her daughter, Miesha's R&B group, Karma. In week one of the new semester, she has a heated exchange with one of the parents and picks one student to open for Karma on Beale Street.

Preach to the Choir
Temmora teaches her students about inspiration and takes the students on a sobering field trip to the National Civil Rights Museum. Students compete at historic Clayborn Temple for a spot to perform at MLK Day. Miesha agrees to go out on a date with rapper, Silento, and drags her best friend and group mate, Kirsten, along with her.

Fight Night
Temmora teaches the students all about stage presence. The student selected for this week's showcase will perform on a "360 Degree" stage at the Fitz Casino during a prize boxing match. Momma Jessie informs Temmora that Miesha went on a date and Temmora confronts Miesha in a fiery dispute.

Lights, Camera, Music Video
Temmora's students compete to perform in a music video with Karma. Miesha meets with a stylist to replace her mother whose sense of style has become increasingly outdated. Miesha regrets it when the stylist arrives at the shoot unprepared. Temmora chooses two students to perform in the music video.

Stop the Bullying
Temmora has her students compete to join Karma on their "Stop The Bullying Tour." Students share their experiences with bullying and one admits being bullied caused her to attempt suicide. Temmora teaches Chekera how to drive, but regrets it when Chekera almost wrecks her truck. Temmora selects a student to perform at her former middle school, which floods Temmora with harsh memories of her early life in foster care.

Miesha's Got a Secret
Temmora challenges the students to compete and perform at the Memphis Hip Hop Awards where Temmora is being honored as M.V.P. of the City. Chekera goes home to take a test to avoid being expelled. Temmora has her oldest daughter, Roxy, to step in to replace Chekera. Miesha devastates Temmora with big news on stage at the awards. Temmora chooses three students to perform at the Awards.

Karma Bootcamp
Temmora's students compete for the opportunity to perform with a live band. After a heated confrontation with Temmora and her husband, Miesha and Kirsten settle in to their new apartment by throwing a rowdy housewarming party. Temmora punishes Chekera for leaving last week by making her compete for her position as the third member of Karma. Temmora selects one student to perform with the band and a surprise guest shows up for support.

Temmora Signs a Star
It's the final week at the Academy, Temmora rewards finalist students with the opportunity to perform at the big end-of-the-year showcase. Miesha feels disrespected by her mother during a tension-filled radio interview. Temmora gives out awards to the students. Temmora and Miesha make up. Temmora signs one student to her record label, Arommet Records.

Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and lest known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Before joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed The Colbert Report, which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one-third of the time. Good luck, Bill!
