Mayor the Force Be with You

In this episode, DI Sleet is joined by TV presenter Dermot O'Leary. Our detectives learn that Amanda Holden, the mayor's PA, has been murdered. Mayor Simon Cowell has been kidnapped and is being held to ransom. Forensic pathologist Lana Del Rey shows them the body and Dermot takes note of any clues that might help them solve the case.
Dermot is put through his paces as he and Sleet meet three suspects:
Miley Cyrus - who runs Successville's nursing home. Sleet and Dermot go undercover as prospective residents to try and look for clues. Miley was upset that Cowell was going to run a bypass through the nursing home, but was that motive enough for murder?
Jessie J - martial arts expert and Sleet's old sensei, Jessie invites the detectives into her dojo to find Dermot's 'spirit animal' and meditate. It becomes clear that Jessie hates technology, probably because the mayor was going to knock down her dojo to put up telephone towers. Was this reason enough for Jessie to take things into her own hands?
Alan Sugar - owner of Successville's sweetshop, Alan is down on his luck after Cowell sent the health and safety inspectors around to inspect his shop. Was Alan unhinged enough to resort to murder and kidnapping to try and save his store?
After meeting all three suspects, Dermot and Sleet get a tip-off that Cowell has been moved, and they only have minutes left before Cowell is blown to pieces. They learn that to diffuse the bomb they must type in the name of the kidnapper. Has Dermot seen enough to get it right? Have you been paying attention? Did you spot enough clues to work out who killed Amanda Holden and kidnapped the mayor?
