While serving as the celebrity guest on a New York cooking show, hosted by renowned chef Bernardo Bonelli, Jessica gets drawn into an intriguing murder investigation when a new restaurant, when Bonelli is found dead on its opening night. While the police are certain that they have the murderer, Bonelli's assistant who invested a large amount of money in his restaurant and held an insurance policy on her investment, Jessica is certain that the young woman is being framed by a local mob boss. However, when the mob boss is then gunned down outside the restaurant, Jessica has to find out how both murders are connected.
