Murdoch Mysteries: Nightmare on Queen Street - Season 1

Season 1
Episodes

Chapter One: The Dead Professor
Detective Murdoch and Doctor Ogden discover the gruesome resolution of a missing person case, take a suspect into custody, and begin to surmise that all is not what it seems...

Chapter Two: The Blood Code
Over the past week you've learned that James Danby was a physics professor, but was apparently supporting himself as a chamber pianist and music teacher. Constable Crabtree is looking into his history for you. The suspect, Rebecca Foster, is of unsound mind and has at least one violent incident in her past, leading to her arrest and committal to the Toronto East Asylum for the Criminally Insane. And the metal fragment - lodged in a cricket bat with Miss Foster's bloody fingermarks all over it - seems to be a high-grade alloy of Molybdenum, Chromium, and Nickel... a type unknown to current methods of fabrication. The mystery deepens...

Chapter Three: Ciphers and Somnology
Over the past week, you've learned that Rebecca's parents are dead, her mother, a singular woman of many talents, in a tragic accident a year ago, and her father several years ago - murdered whilst asleep in his bed. Is this a coincidence? Mary's death seems to be worth another look. Doctor Luther Bates, whose care Rebecca was under previously, is an odious man who has subjected her to all manner of barbarisms, according to Doctor Ogden. Finally, you have managed to decode four out of the five symbols that Miss Foster delivered so disturbingly: Doctor, Stop, Danger, and Afraid. The final symbol still eludes you, though it does look familiar...

Chapter Four: The Music of Madness
You've proven that James Danby and Doctor Bates were at the very least acquainted - they were members of the same Cricket club, although Doctor Bates appears to be ambivalent at best with regards to his deceased teammate. And Bates's Cricket bat is missing... You also now have the sales records of the local supplier who imported the metal fragment found embedded in the murder weapon, which will hopefully identify the purchaser. And Rebecca has become progressively more erratic, with increasingly common episodes of narcolepsy and sleepwalking, punctuated by fits of violence. Coupled with the cryptic messages she's left in blood, ink, and now this mysterious tune, you are confronted by more questions than answers, thus far...

Chapter Five: The Vanishing Policeman
You have made significant progress in your investigation - with Doctor Grace's help, you've established that both James Danby, as well as Rebecca Foster's mother Mary were killed the same way - via a circular wound to the forhead, and both murders were concealed by staged injuries. However, you've made no progress on Rebecca's song, only that the notes C-DDDD-FF-B don't seem to match any known tune. But now, the unthinkable has happened! Detective Murdoch has been abducted by some unknown party. Your investigation is on hold until he is found.

Chapter Six: The Chair
Detective Murdoch has been rescued and he, Doctor Ogden, and the police, are now gone, leaving you alone in this chamber of horrors. Everything you have done thus far on this case has led to this moment. Doctor Ogden is correct... you MUST identify the perpetrator of these heinous crimes before they strike again. But be careful - this may be the most important decision you've yet made in your career as a detective. Perhaps you should look around this room to see if there are any additional clues. You need to decide who the killer is and - hopefully - put this matter to rest once and for all.
