When the traveling Buffalo Bill Cody's Western Extravaganza settles in Toronto, murders happen. Inspector Murdoch must investigate the crimes while his boss becomes enamored with Annie Oakley.

Snakes and Ladders
Murdoch finds himself teamed with a Scotland Yard Investigator who thinks the serial killer they're pursuing may be none other than Jack the Ripper. Murdoch invites Dr. Ogden to an up-coming ball, and to prepare for it, dancing lessons are the order of the day.

Dinosaur Fever
A geologist turned paleontologist has found a rare femur from an Albertosaurus, but when he unveils it, a mummified body is found in the mouth of another dinosaur skeleton.

Houdini Whodunnit?
A youthful Harry Houdini becomes the chief suspect when the bank adjoining his theater is robbed and a guard is murdered. But, he ultimately helps Murdoch find the culprit. Meanwhile, Dr. Ogden's sister comes to visit and soon becomes attracted to Murdoch.

The Green Muse
When a very popular prostitute specializing in kinky sex is found garroted and the bordello survives an arson attempt, Murdoch looks at her clients for a suspect. Also, the romance between Inspector Murdoch and Dr. Ogden heats up.

Shades of Grey
A young woman's body is found in a drainage ditch, clad in only a bracelet, showing signs of having undergone an abortion, and totally drained of blood.

Big Murderer on Campus
A university professor from England is shot in the head through his window, either looking at a comet or peeping at a beautiful coed.

I, Murdoch
A young boy witnesses what sounds like a robot and men with guns near the creek where he is fishing, but no one at the precinct quite believes him.

Convalescence
After the owner of a French restaurant is found with his own pickled finger in his mouth, Crabtree fills in for an injured Murdoch to solve the crime.

A mysterious on-line predator romances other telegraphers, bilks them out of money, and ultimately murders one of his dalliances.

Let Us Ask the Maiden
When a young Jewish man dies suddenly during prayers, Dr. Ogden suspects arsenic poisoning and concludes that others may be falling victim to a poisoner.

Werewolves
Savage murder, seemingly at the jaws of a wild beast, occurs among six men who participated in a hunting trip. This leads Murdoch into the mysterious world of North American shamanism and lycanthropy. While searching for a rational explanation, Murdoch is forced to choose between Enid and Dr. Ogden.

Anything You Can Do
While investigating a murder, Murdoch finds himself teamed with a North-West Mounted Policeman from British Columbia whose methods and mannerisms are strikingly similar to this own -- perhaps too similar? The Mountie believes the Toronto homicide is related to a case he is investigating. Murdoch hopes to rekindle his relationship with Dr. Ogden -- but is it too late?
