Rosario, el guía del Museo, sufre una indigestión tras comer unos ganchitos y tiene que pasar una temporada en el hospital. Por este motivo, Don Jaime, el director, se ve obligado a hacer unas pruebas de selección para encontrar un guía sustituto. Tratándose de Don Jaime, las pruebas van de lo absurdo a lo directamente insultante. Uno de los guardas de seguridad, Emilio, tiene la suerte de conocer a su artista preferida, que se enamora perdidamente de él. Sin embargo, debido a un oscuro trauma infantil, Emilio no puede estar más de cinco minutos seguidos con ella.
