Season 1
Seo Hwi is a warrior. His father Seo Gum is a famous commander. Seo Hwi does not compromise when it comes to injustice. His life devolves into a hellish existence, but he still holds a smile. Meanwhile, Nam Sun Ho is smart and a talented figure. Because his mother was born into the lowest class, Nam Sun Ho is looked down upon by other people. He wants to pass the military service examination. Due to a corruption scandal involving his father, Nam Sun Ho loses his dream. Making things worse, he comes into conflict with Seo Hwi over a misunderstanding.

Episode 1
Seo Hwi receives orders from Lee Bang Won to carry out an attack -- and finds himself face-to-face with Nam Sun Ho. Han Hee Jae tries to evade capture.

Episode 2
As a child, Hee Jae comes across Seo Gum after witnessing a traumatic event. Hwi, Seo Yun, and Hee Jae get separated from Sun Ho while kite flying.

Episode 3
There are those who resolve to forget -- and those who don't Hee Jae confronts Sun Ho about what happened. Park Chi Do finds Hwi on the battlefield.

Episode 4
While on the run, Hwi hears a difficult truth from Sun Ho. Hee Jae travels with Yi Bang Won as he escorts Queen Shinduk and her sons to safety.

Episode 5
Hwi stays away from Hee Jae, who holds on to hope that he is still alive, and keeps an eye on Seo Yun. A high-ranking nobleman is kidnapped.

Episode 6
Sun Ho requests power from Lee Sung Kye. Ihwaru covers up a murder. Hwi and his friends hatch a plan involving Bang Won.

Episode 7
Wary of Hwi's intentions, Bang Won tries to figure out what he's after. Sung Gye's council calls for Sun Ho's punishment.

Episode 8
Hee Jae comes across a man who haunts her memories. Sung Gye issues a warning to Nam Jun, and declares the heir to his throne.

Episode 9
Jun's true objectives -- as well as Hwi's -- are made clear to Bang Won. Fearing for Yun's safety, Sun Ho takes her and runs.

Episode 10
Devastated by a sudden loss, Hwi takes his rage to Jun. Six years later, Sun Ho hunts down a thief who's been interception precious cargo.

Episode 11
Hwi, seeking revenge, conspires with Bang Won. Sun Ho advises Sung Gye on what must be done in order to protect his crown.

Episode 12
Bang Won's rebellion strikes, and Sung Gye realizes it too late. Hwi has just one target -- but Sun Ho stands in his way.

Episode 13
With no further reason to stay by Bang Won's side, Hwi walks away -- but finds he must contend with Sung Gye's revenge.

Episode 14
Sun Ho acquires soldiers. Hee Jae mourns all that Ihwaru has lost. Hwi and Bang Won fool Lee Bang Gan into feeling a false sense of security.

Episode 15
Bloody conflict erupts as Bang Gan attacks Bang Won. Hwi looks out for Sun Ho, who returns the favor after uncovering an unfortunate history.

Episode 16
Ahead of the ceremony, Bang Won and Sung Gye each send men after Hwi and Sun Ho, who know what must be done to keep everyone safe.
